Spermicides are one of the best birth control methods. It comes in the form of gel, cream, foam, film and suppositories. All the spermicides are similar in work but only thing is the amount of chemical (Nonoxynol-9) that contain, which may vary from 1% to 5%.

VAGINAL CONTRACEPTIVE FILM It comes in thin squares. To use it, you first fold this film to half, insert it with the help of your finger into vagina and push up to cervix. Do this with dry finger unless the film will stick to your finger and you will not be able to place this film in the correct place. It dissolves over the cervix after insertion and it also becomes effective only 15-20 minutes.

Advantages

You can purchase it without a prescription of doctor.
It is easily available in superstores and drug stores.
Since it also acts like lubricants, it increases pleasure during intercourse.
It does affect future fertility.
You may enjoy insertion of spermicides into vagina as foreplay.

Disadvantage

It does not give you full protection against sexually transmitted infections (STD) like AIDS/HIV.
Your partner can feel a bad taste during oral sex.
You may feel some genital irritation.
You must use it for every sexual intercourse.

Barrier Method

Barrier methods, on the other hand, are generally less effective than the hormonal methods although they seem to be the most widely-used especially among the younger set. Among the devices that belong to these group of birth control instruments are condoms, diaphragms, cervical caps, and sponges. There are also Leas shield and spermicides, which when used with any of the barrier devices can help increase the effectiveness by killing the sperms. Still, one advantage of barrier method is that it protects both individuals from sexually-transmitted diseases. In fact, some people use condoms not to prevent pregnancy but to prevent the spread of diseases.

Calendar method

Natural birth control methods can also be done through the calendar method. This can be tough work though for the couple. The woman must first determine the fertile periods of the month. The couple must then avoid having sex on the days that the woman is most fertile to avoid conceiving. This however is not reliable and must be calculated to the letter before it can be effective. The calendar method is actually the only method supported by the Catholic Church, which takes a pro-life stand.

Sterilization surgery

Permanent birth control methods such as vasectomy and tubal litigation surgery are also options for the couple but they must remember that they can no longer have children when they have these procedures performed on them. These methods are actually for couples who are old or those who already have children and feel that they should not have anymore.

This happens because every step of life we take, and every breath of air we breathe has some involvement with the alcoholic. Our emotions overtake our own mental health as we try and cope with the deterioration of the alcoholic in our life. What are we doing wrong? We are concentrating too much on the disease, instead of concentrating on our mental and emotional health. We may as well be tipping the bottle for them. Better yet, we may as well be drinking with them!

Dont Enable

You need to take care of yourself and that cannot be done if you are focusing all of your attention on the alcoholic and what he is doing or what he isnt doing. Start focusing on what you can do for yourself. Get out of the house, dont hang around the alcoholic, and dont let them abuse you with their words. If you care about the alcoholic in your life, this is what helps them more than anything else.

Detach With Love

You are powerless to getting your loved one to stop drinking. The first step in being able to detach is by realizing that the shenanigans of the alcoholic is not your problem. Dont try and fix their messes for them. Not only does this enable them to continue drinking, but also it justifies their drinking. Dont have any interaction with the alcoholic while they are drinking; that includes, talking and arguing with them. Why fuss and fight with someone who has lost the ability to make any sense? Dont become ensnared in the alcoholic trap with them. Stay out of the trap, so you can help them. Ninety-five percent of what an alcoholic says is manipulative and hogwash anyway. Dont start believing in the lies of the disease. Separate yourself from the antics of the alcoholic.

Pray For The Alcoholic

I cant tell you how important the process of daily prayer can be. Not only does it bring you closer to God but it will also get you into the habit of going to God with your life challenges. God does hear your cries of pain and He will give you the answers you need to get through your trials and tribulations, even if your spouse continues to drink. Be patient and remain faithful in the Lord and He will deliver you from your suffering.

Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. (Philippians 4:6)
